The whole journey
Six steps, and only the first two happen once. Everything after that is the loop you repeat.Numera covers the blockchain fee at every step above. There is no separate token to buy and nothing to top up.
Signing in
Two ways in, offered as equals. Pick whichever suits you.A passkey
The face or fingerprint check you already use to unlock your phone. Nothing to install and no wallet required.
A wallet you already own
MetaMask, Rabby and other browser wallets. Keep using the key you already trust, including one backed by hardware.
The passkey route
Numera builds this on Mera, an open source passkey library from Category Labs. Your passkey produces your account directly on your device, so there is no password to remember and no recovery phrase to write down and protect. Because the result is always the same, signing in from a different device with the same passkey brings you straight back to the same account. Nothing is stored on a server to make that work.Mera derives a completely standard account, so your keys stay portable. Nothing about signing in this way locks you to Numera.
The wallet route
If you already have a browser wallet, connect it and carry on. Numera detects the wallets installed on your device and lets you choose which one to use, so having several installed is fine. Whichever you pick behaves exactly like the passkey route from that point on.Your Numera account is tied to the specific wallet account you sign in with, so it always resolves to the same place. Sign in with that same account each time and you will always land back on your own positions.
Your private account
Whichever route you took, you now have a key. The next step turns it into your private trading identity. You sign one message, and that signature creates your private account, the layer that holds your funds and keeps your trading unlinkable. It happens once, takes a moment, and then it is simply there. The important part: this is worked out from your own signature, every time, on whatever device you are using. Numera stores nothing to make it possible, which means there is nothing anyone could obtain to reconstruct it.Adding funds
Money moves into a private pool before you trade. Picture a coat check. Plenty of people hand in coats and everyone gets a ticket. To collect, you prove you hold a valid ticket without revealing which one. The pool hands one over and nobody watching learns whose it was. Numera does that with cryptography instead of a cloakroom. Funds go in, and come out privately.Opening a position
Place your first trade in a market and your device creates a fresh account just for that market. This is the piece that makes the rest work:- One market, one account, so your positions stand on their own.
- Created on your device from your passkey, so only you can use it.
- Funded from the private pool, so its source stays private.
On a continuous market, this step happens once per asset instead of once per position. Fund it, and you are set for every round on that asset after that, with no setup in between.
Placing the trade
Pick an outcome and an amount. Numera shows the live price, how many shares you get, and your total cost. You approve it on your device, and Numera submits it to the blockchain and covers the network fee. The new price is public immediately. You are not part of that record. While the market runs
Prices move as people trade. You can watch them live and act whenever you like:- Add to your position.
- Trim it to take some profit.
- Close it entirely at the current price.
When it settles
Trading stops at the deadline. Anyone can then propose the result by putting down a deposit, and anyone can challenge a proposal they think is wrong. Being right pays; being wrong costs the deposit. You never have to take part, and if you do, it happens from the same private account as your bets and reveals nothing about your position. The full process. Then:- You were right. Every share is worth exactly $1. Claim it whenever you like, it never expires.
- The question could not be settled fairly. The market is voided and everyone gets their money back.
Who sees what
Your portfolio is assembled on your own device. Your browser knows which accounts are yours, asks about those, and gets public information back. The question is answered, never recorded.
